John   Coburn
Position:       Coach                

John joined our coaching team in 2007.  John has been involved with Speed Skating for many years and is an extremely dedicated coach who is passionate about providing our young junior skaters with the opportunity to enjoy being included in a sport with a difference. John has been National Veteran Champion for 4 years and still competes in local and national events.

 
Francesca   Jackson
Position:       Assistant Coach / Athlete                

Francesca has been a member and represented the Canterbury Alpine Club for 18 years.  During the past year Francesca has spent several months training in Salt Lake City and Calgary preparing for international competitions.  Fran assists with coaching our Junior skaters when she returns to Christchurch.  Fran is currently a National Team member.

 
Mark   Jackson
Position:       Coach / Athlete                

Mark has been a member and represented the Canterbury Alpine club for 18 years.  During this time Mark spends several months a year training in Calgary preparing for international competitions.  While in Calgary Mark sucessfully completed a level one Canadian Sports Specific Short Track coaching course.  Mark assists with coaching our Junior skaters when he returns to Christchurch each year.  Mark is currently a National Team member.

 
Warren & Jane   Jarden
Position:       Coach Assistants                

Both Warren & Jane assist with the new skaters each week. They are passionate about Short Track and give the new children one on one assistance for the fist few weeks until they are ready and confident in joining into a larger group. 

 
Ken   Park
Position:       NZ National Coach                

Mr. Park is the current National Coach and is based in Chrischurch.  Mr. Park, formally from Korea, took up his coaching roll in New Zealand during 2001 prior to the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.  Ken also works with the National Junior & Developments Squads.
